The Princess of Jordan declares war on the Emir of Dubai

Princess of Jordan denounces a forced marriage with the Emir of Dubai. Haya of Jordan, wife of the Emir of Dubai Mohammed ben Rachid Al Maktoum, claims custody of her children before the London courts.

Princess Haya, wife of the Emir of Dubai Mohammed ben Rached al-Maktoum, applied for protection against forced marriage on Tuesday before the Family Court Judge of the High Court of Justice in London.

« The details of the protection measure requested by Princess Haya are not known, » said the British news agency PA, unable to specify whether it concerns the Princess herself, married since 2004 to the Emirate sovereign, or one of their two children, an 11-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy.

The hearing before the High Court is scheduled to take place over two days and is scheduled to continue on Wednesday.

Princess Haya arrived in court with her lawyer Fiona Shackleton, who had represented Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, during her divorce from Princess Diana.

Her husband, Mohammed ben Rached al-Maktoum, 70, is represented by Helen Ward, who represented British director Guy Ritchie during his divorce from American singer Madonna.
