This renowned folk singer, known for his promotion of Hausa music and cultural heritage, reportedly passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Preliminary reports indicate that the artist, who had just returned from Lagos after performing several shows there, died under mysterious circumstances after consuming poisoned food.
