Since July 6, Copa Airlines has operated direct flights between Panama City and Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname, with two flights per week.
Suriname is considered one of the greenest countries in the world: 93% of its territory is covered by the jungle, which is home to a very rich fauna and flora. The country is ideal for the development of ecotourism.
The airport is only 45 minutes from Paramaribo, so it is very easy to get there. The city is famous for its colonial-style houses.
As for the cuisine, it is not to be outdone, it will delight the fine gourmets in search of new flavours.
Due to its history, the country offers dishes inspired by Dutch, Chinese, Indian and Javanese cuisine. Just that! Beware of spicy dishes:)
