Finnair and China Southern are partnering through a code-share agreement that will allow Finnair passengers to reach five new destinations in China as of June 1, 2019.
The cooperation concerns the Finnair link between Helsinki and Guangzhou, and certain destinations in China served by China Southern.
This new agreement adds five new destinations to Finnair’s network in China. Passengers will be able to board China Southern from Guangzhou to Changsha (CSX), Chongqing (CKG), Hangzhou (HGH), Nanjing (NKG), Sanya (SYX), Wenzhou (WNZ), Xiamen (XMN) and Xi´an (XIY).
In addition, China Southern’s CZ code will be applied to Finnair flights from Helsinki to Paris (CDG) and several other popular European destinations: Amsterdam (AMS), Billund (BLL), Copenhagen (CPH), Goteborg (GOT), London (LHR), Riga (RIX) and Stockholm (ARN).
Flights are already available for booking.
Finnair recently moved to Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Airport, designed to optimize connecting traffic. This change was also encouraged by the collaboration between Finnair and China Southern, which offers many connections from Guangzhou.
